Suzy's Celebration

Celebrating memories of my late wife, Suzanne Alison Storms, who left me to embark on a new adventure on December 30, 2005. As I go through her things and try to piece some semblence of a life back together, I will post anything that I think might be of interest to anyone who knows either of us.

In lieu of Flowers

Suzy will be buried this Wednesday in New Jersey. I am not a big "cemetary visiting" kind of guy anyway, and her mother and sister wanted to bring her home.

Before she moved here, Suzy was the Director of a program called "Pathways" in New Jersey:
Pathways was established in April 1988 in response to a request by the Bergen County Department of Human Services to develop mental-health services for developmentally disabled adults and their families. It is the first partial-hospitalization program in the state designed specifically to treat adults who experience both a developmental disability and a psychiatric disorder.
Here is a link fully documenting the program.

In lieu of flowers, we have asked that donations be made in Suzanne's name to the program she once directed. She always considered it her greatest achievement, and was proud that she had helped many severely challenged people. There is a handy on-line contribution link at the top of the web page, if you prefer that to sending a check.
